Doocey Group Open Day 2026 – What a Day!
It was fantastic to see so many people getting involved at our Doocey Group Open Day, trying out activities, exploring our equipment and speaking with our team.
From hands-on experiences to great conversations, the energy throughout the day was incredible. It was a true reflection of the passion, knowledge and teamwork we have across Doocey Group.
A big thank you to everyone who came along and to our staff who made the experience so welcoming and engaging for all. We’re excited to have inspired so many and can’t wait to see what the future holds!
Across the day, we were proud to welcome around 450 attendees, with 243 people registering with Sandwell Council and 180 signing up with Sandwell College for the pre-apprenticeship programme…Fantastic outcomes for those looking to take their first steps in the Utility industry.
A standout highlight from the day was the level of engagement across generations, with 60 registered attendees aged 19+, our highest-ever adult registration! Alongside an impressive 120 registered 16-18 year olds exploring future opportunities in the industry.
It was great to see so many people actively exploring careers in the sector. The strong interest across all pathways highlights the growing enthusiasm for the industry and the opportunities available.
We’re incredibly proud of everyone involved in making the day such a success and grateful to all who attended. A big shoutout to our current and graduated apprentices who played a key role in leading demonstrations and showcasing their skills.
We now look forward to welcoming the next generation into the industry.
