Water Main Replacements

From time to time water mains need replacing, for various reasons such as bursts, poor flow and the possible health risk of lead pipes. One of the considerations when replacing a water main is the method used to install the pipe. If you have a newly resurfaced drive or a landscape garden you may not want to disturb it with the old fashioned, time consuming trenching method.

We can offer a better, quicker way, with far less upheaval. A new water pipe can be installed using an impact mole machine which burrows underground between two small launch pits, leaving the top surface undisturbed. When the bore is complete the new pipe is pulled through, connections made, and the small launch pits re-filled and made good.

Currently for the average domestic home, a new water main can usually be installed in one day.
